The Giovanni Rosso family winery has begun a new chapter in the story of its expanding portfolio of premium Italian wines with the acquisition of this 14-hectare plot in the Etna DOC, located near Solicchiata, on the slopes of Mount Etna volcano in Sicily. With its rich volcanic soil, this terroir is ideal for growing indigenous varietals, like Carricante, which is used in the production of Etna Bianco DOC, as well as Nerello Mascalese, typically found in Etna Rosso DOC. With plans to develop the winery and expand the vineyard, the future of Giovanni Rosso’s Sicilian adventure looks very promising.
