One can expect fruity and spicy flavors with well-present but soft tannins, accompanied by balanced acidity that brings freshness. This wine also has a persistent and pleasantly dry finish. Overall, the Miglianico Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC is a well-balanced wine.

Terre di Chieti IGT

Terre di Chieti IGT is an Italian white wine made from the Trebbiano and Chardonnay grape varieties. It presents fruity and floral aromas with notes of citrus and apple. Trebbiano brings a refreshing acidity, while Chardonnay adds roundness. On the palate, one can expect a slight hazelnut and vanilla flavor from the Chardonnay, with a persistent and pleasantly dry finish.

The growing conditions of the grapes used to produce this wine inform us that the vines being exposed on the hills of the lands of Miglianico and oriented to the west and northwest, therefore benefit from good sun exposure and sufficient ventilation, which promotes optimal grape ripening. The location at 200 meters above sea level influences temperature and humidity, two important factors for grape development. The loamy-clay soils are also an important characteristic because they promote water retention, which helps the vines survive during periods of drought, as well as promote steady vine growth. The age of the vines, between 15 and 18 years old, also plays an important role in the quality of the grape, as older vines tend to produce more concentrated and complex flavors.

About Cantina Miglianico
Cantina Miglianico is located in the Abruzzo region of Italy, known for its vine culture between sea and mountains. The wine draws its character and nuances from this terroir, shaped by the hands of its winemakers. It all started in 1961 when the father (a religious figure) named Vincenzo Pizzica had the idea of creating a cooperative to avoid the underestimation of local wines by large producers. A few years later, in 1966, the associated farmers began to produce their first bottles. Today, Cantina Miglianico has about 300 winegrowers who cultivate over 500 hectares of vineyards in the province of Chieti.

The Abruzzo region is a territory of vineyards, cultivated between sea and mountains, which give the wine its character and accents, as well as the history of the winemakers. The attenuating effect of the sea, combined with the characteristics of the hills, allows for the production of an interesting variety of wines. Starting from the vineyards near the sea, where the culture of Trebbiano is favored, one climbs the first hills, where interesting Pecorino emerges, until reaching the area dedicated to Montepulcianco d'Abruzzo. Then, the work of the oenologist and appropriate techniques complete a process that results in the best wines of the Abruzzo region.
