Strawberry Shortcake with TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur

Ingredients:

  • 500g fresh strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur
  • 200g flour
  • 50g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 125g unsalted butter
  • 120ml milk
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Preparation:
  1. Wash, hull, and slice strawberries. Marinate them with TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur in a bowl for an hour.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  3. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Incorporate butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Add milk and mix to form a smooth dough.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut out 7cm diameter circles. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar to form whipped cream.
To serve, slice each shortcake in half, fill with marinated strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. Drizzle with additional TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur if desired.
