Yule Log with TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur

Ingredients:

  • For the sponge cake:
    • 4 eggs
    • 120g sugar
    • 120g flour
    • Pinch of salt
    • 2 tablespoons TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur
  • For the filling:
    • 250g mascarpone
    • 3 tablespoons TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur
    • 100g powdered sugar
    • 200g fresh strawberries, sliced
  • For the glaze:
    • 200g dark chocolate
    • 200ml heavy cream
    • 2 tablespoons TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur

Preparation:
  1. Sponge Cake:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
    • Whisk eggs and sugar until the mixture becomes pale. Gently fold in the flour and salt.
    • Spread the batter on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes.
    • Once out of the oven, lightly soak the sponge cake with TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur.
    • While still warm, roll the sponge cake with the parchment paper to shape it and let it cool.
  2. Filling:
    • Mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur until smooth.
    • Carefully unroll the sponge cake and spread the mascarpone cream over it. Lay the strawberry slices evenly.
    • Roll the sponge cake again to form the log.
  3. Glaze:
    • Heat the cream in a saucepan. Off the heat, add chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth. Mix in the TOSCHI Fragoli Liqueur.
    • Let it cool for a few minutes, then coat the log with the chocolate glaze.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving. For a final touch, garnish with strawberries or chocolate shavings.
